Storm Over Natural Bridges
Well after sunset, the purple and blue hues of twilight filled the cloudy sky. The clouds flowed with the prevailing winds as the natural arch at Natural Bridges reflected in the sand.
While along the rugged and scenic central California coast, the storm broke at sunset. Streams of rain, or virga, lit up with colorful reds and oranges as wave from the Pacific ocean crashed onshore.
Simple Sunset by the Sea
Some evenings along the coast are simply spent watching the waves from the Pacific ocean wash ashore. The central California coast offers plenty of secluded and sandy beaches for enjoying the salty air and sounds of the sea.
The chaos of the repeating pier pilings silhouetted against a sunset sky caught my eye. I waited for the birds to fly and waves to crash to make this image.
