One of my favorite spots in Santa Cruz is along West Cliff Drive between Lighthouse Point and Natural Bridges. These two offshore rocks and curved plateau make for an interesting landscape to photograph.
Stormy weather can often make for dramatic photography. I went out to Seacliff State Beach in Aptos to photograph the cement ship at the end of the pier. I grabbed a view shots of the incoming surf on the way.
Waves rush in over the wet sand at Bandon beach in southern Oregon. I was on a road trip to Seattle for an awards presentation and gallery opening. Bandon, Oregon was my first stop along the way. The thick clouds worked best as a monochrome image to contrast with the dark rocks.
