The rugged south coastof Iceland is full of amazing landscapes. The rocky shores are contrasting with the misty ocean with distant mountains under a moody sky.
After camping nearby, I awoke to a clear yet calm morning up in the John Muir Wilderness. The lake was as smooth as glass and the reflections of the craggy granite of Picture Peak were simply beautiful.
The trees here will be gone someday soon. The Boardman tree farm will give way to cows and irrigation crops. I am grateful for being able to see it in its fall color beauty at least once in my life.
