The central California shoreline contains a vast array of interesting geology. At Natural Bridges State Beach, there are shale and sandstone rock shelves which contain unique and abstract patterns and fine details.
A myriad of small details live amongst the sand dunes near Stove Pipe Wells in Death Valley National Park. Their intricate patterns and subtle contrasts are a feast for the eyes.
The badlands of Death Valley's desert landscapes are amongst my favorites. The soft glow of sunset illuminates these formations.
