Nestled in the Monterey Bay, the smal tourist town of Capitola has a small, quaint pier. One colorful sunrise, I photographed this scene as the waves from the pacific washed onto the coast.
The chaos of the repeating pier pilings silhouetted against a sunset sky caught my eye. I waited for the birds to fly and waves to crash to make this image.
